On this result, some of the times are not in chronological order. Why?

The first 6 listed are the auto qualifiers (denoted with capital "Q") who were 1-2-3 in the two semis. I'm pretty sure they're listed in order by fastest semi winner, then slower semi winner, then fastest 2nd placer, then slower 2nd placer, then fastest 3rd, then slower 3rd. Everyone else (not top 3 in either semi) was then shooting for the final two spots in the finals which is based solely on time so they're simply listed in time order with the two qualifiers denoted with a small "q"

On the first post in this thread, "nr" appears next to some names. What does this stand for?

nr means no result in previous championship meet.
