Re: Quick IAAF Points Chart Generator
JRM, is this calculator still relevant, or is there a newer version out there? Also, does it exist as in excel spreadsheet / macro form? Cheers.

Re: Quick IAAF Points Chart Generator
Bumping this back up...Has anyone seen a calculator for IAAF points, or does one have to go through the table every time? Seems like there must be a calculator where you can type in a time/distance and the resultant IAAF points are calculated. I haven't been able to find one, though. Anyone?

Wow, really?! This would be the worst case of theft I've seen on the net.

Um... Upon closer inspection, I noticed that this calculator is in fact MY calculator that I developed about 10 years ago for Athletics Canada:

Again, thanks for bringing this to my attention (for a different reason than before).

now if the iaaf points could actually make sense across events, they might be worth something. simply put, each event's wr should be worth the same number (say 1000, for instance) and descending values go down from there. right now, some events are given more importance because higher point values can be achieved even with normal performances. additionally, the point scales should be reset each year in events where new wr's are set to account for this improvement.

Quick IAAF Points Chart Generator
Stumbled upon this last night:
http://www.singaporeathletics.com/online-calculator
Compare two events' worth based on one event's mark as well as find the IAAF points value for that established mark as well. Saves the specific look up time of each value.Tags: None
