Superb performance also by Greek Athanassia Perra in the triple jump final! She won in a huge personal best of 14,62m. becoming the 2nd in the world this year and had a really good series of 14,35m., 14,44m. (then PB), X, 14,40m., 14,37m., 14,62m.

She is still 4th in the all time Greek rankings behind Hrisopigi Devetzi (15,32m.), Paraskevi Tsiamita ( 15,07m.), Olga Vasdeki ( 14,67m. )

in the same event Meso Ba was second with a final round leap of 14,16m. while after protest of Greek team due to a Magdelin's Martinez under 14m that was given 14,16m, 21-year old Voula Papachristou took the bronze medal in 14,12m.
