    No, UCLA has the sole non-combined men's and women's programs in the Pac-10 Conference.

    In these days of cost-cutting, perhaps they will now combine their programs like Tennessee did a couple of weeks ago,

        Given that the State of California is giving its vendors IOUs rather than payment, I wouldn't be surprised to see massive cutbacks in the sports programs.

          Do they get state funds?

          The Univ. of Texas Athletic Department is self funding through profits, donations, and sponsorship deals. I would think most of the very large universities are this way.

            Doesn't a significant part of most athletic department budgets come from "student activity fees"? i.e., for the privilege of having a football team on campus, you pay when you enroll.

                          I don't know where all of the money comes from, certainly from the sources you and a couple others have mentioned.

                          University athletics likely won't get by this mess unscathed.
