  • Initial German Team for Berlin

Initial round of nominations, the DLV haven't yet nominated any sprinters in the mens and womens 100m, nor Carolin Nytra in the 100mh despite her recent 12.78 time or Nwachukwu in the 400m, however they expect to nominated more by August 2nd. With 3 guys in the 110mh Thomas Blaschek has missed out. 20 yr old Thomas Schneider makes the 4x4 despite finishing down in the 400m final. The men's PV and women's JT, where the DLV had more than 3 in event event, have gone ahead and made their selection. There's still spots in the men's and women's LJ, so Winter, Krauel et al have a chance still.

Christian Reif jumped 7.93 last night in Germany, for sixth place on the German lists this year. He's attempting the B qualifier of 8.05 this weekend in Germany.

Are the 800 runners trying for the A standard this weekend in Leverkusen?.

It would be a shame not to send at least Schemberra....they are, after all, in Germany..

Schembera is running the 800m in Leverkusen and his coach Adi Zaar said they are going for the A which he narrowly missed a few times. I think they should take him anyway (he has the B qualifier) as a 1:45 with his sprinting ability gets you at least to the semis
