Let's segregate the meet at least by sex to keep it from being unwieldy.

Roberson fell at the last hurdle in the 400H. (To answer a query from the locked thread)

Why is the US running a guy in the 100 with a PB of 11.16?

Well, he set a new PB now with 10.95 but is still out in the second round.

Do you mean Colin Hepburn? Some of the IAAF youth data is not completely up-to-date. His actual PB is 10.59, so it's something of a disappointment that he is out in the first round.

Great performance in the 800m semis by Swedish Johan Rogestedt (born93) who got a Q with yet another PB 1,51,11. Strong effort beating 3 runner with better PB:s.

So far a great championship by the Swedes so far...almost everyone has done better than their statistical position. Lots of PB:s

Wake as got a horrific heat for the 400 semi's, he will probably run a PB now and run slower in the final and cost him a medal.

Congrats to Alec Faldermeyer for making it to the finals in the hammer throw...The US has now had a male hammer thrower in the finals in every world youth and junior compeition since 2005.

Canadian boy Aaron Brown (10.46 PB) looking strong in the 100m!

Of course immediate comparisons to Donovan Bailey.

It seems strange that Ethiopia should only have one entrant in the boys' 3000m.
