Rex Harvey, a 1976 Olympic Trials decathlete and longtime masters official and athlete, has a good chance of being the first American elected president of World Masters Athletics (IAAF for geezers). He's runnng aganst Stan Perkins of Brisbane, Australia. The election is Aug. 5, 2009, at the Lahti General Assembly.
