I'll put Yohan Blake on the second leg, because he is kind of jittery in big races..and we can't afford for him to do something, such as false starting in the World Championships.

    Frater-Blake-Bolt-Asafa

Keep Asafa where he is most comfortable, because he's been running achor for ages now and Bolt as been running the Curves for Jamaica for a while now. Frater as been running first or second leg also. This is a good line-up.
Marvin pulled up at 100m in the 200m race in Lausanne on Tuesday. Not sure what the issue is.

I need to see him consistent on the European circuit before I put him on the relay.

Some how i'm not too proud to see Mullings wearing our colors. If it was up to me he wouldn't be on our team colors. I hope he is not in the relay at all, and I don't think majority of Jamaicans will care if he's not either.

Give Blake the chance because he is one of Jamaica's young, bright sprinter. 2011 and 2012 he would more likely will be a fixed in the relay squad, so get him in ahead of Mullings or Anderson, and it's not like they way ahead of him.

Based on consistency so far this year, I would replace Blake with Mullings. Mullings has been more consistent on the circuit and trials this year. Blake can run in the heats.

Also, don't forget Nesta Carter. If he comes back to form by the time Berlin comes around, we could use him as well.

You always want to put your best current athletes on the relays by the time Berlin comes around.

3.Mullings..... he should be on the team he is a good 200m runner and in form. He may be behind or even with Gay by the handoff, worse case slightly behind Gay to hand off to Bolt.

4.Bolt..... With a running start lights out!!. destroy whomever is on anchor.

I don't know about Asafa burning Mike outta of the blocks, it will be close. Also Gay will smoke Mullings, period.

    Why Blake instead of Mullings?
Mullings, Anderson, Blake, same thing. They were all withing .01 of each other at Nationals. So might as well go with the most famous one I guess, see what he can do when the accel part of the 100 is taken our of the equation, and only the raw speed part is used, which is probably his strongpoint since he's a youngster.[/quote:3teh4toz]

Also Wouldn't putting Bolt 3rd (or 2nd for that matter) enable him to run a longer distance with the baton? Not to mention he is the best curve runner of all time...

True, but I think if Gay is on third the deficit may be too much to make up with the lead on the final handoff. We all know that outside of Bolt Gay is the best curve runner so Jam can't afford to make that mistake.

Will be great to see Bolt on the anchor again. He anchored a Racers team earlier in the year to an easy 38.10 in Jamaica.

Would love to see him anchor the Jamaican team in Berlin.

Bolt to run in sprint relay in London

Triple Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt will run in the 4x100metres relay as well as the individual 100m at the London Grand Prix later this month, organisers said on Tuesday.

Bolt was part of the Jamaican team that broke the sprint relay world record in Beijing and will be running in his first relay in Britain.

The Jamaican had already signed up for the individual 100m, on Friday July 24, and will race the relay on the following day of the two-day event
