In a post race interview she said the injury is not serious. "It was just a cramp. There is still a lot of time left before Berlin." She was also very pleased with her race.

Campbell-Brown had a scare after the race when she grabbed her hamstring, but she did not appear to be seriously injured.

I remember being viciously attacked on this forum by persons to remain unamed because I said back then that as a betting man I would not bet on Jeter to reach the podium in Berlin and that I favoured Lauryn more. I am starting to think I was victimised.

Did they run in Berlin for Worlds yet? The races the last couple of weeks, these aren't prelims for Worlds by the way.

i watched the race on greek channel antenna, looks like campbell pulled her hamstring. jeter just like her last 3 races is forcing the issue and is tensing up. maybe she has run her best races. i think stewart looks the best right now, but there is a month before berlin.

To to reassure myself I just spoke to a doctor who tells me cramps are not serious injuries, caused usually by fatigue or dehydration (a biochemical imbalance, he says). He said save for some soreness in the area affected by the cramp, she should be fully recovered in five days.

She is schedule to run next Monday in Greece again.

i dont think iit was serious like i said, but when the race was over and the way she was holding and rubbing the hammy, it was like an uh-oh moment...but like you said it cant be that serious...b/c as much of a sweetheart that Ver is, if it was it would be medical attention at once

If she was up and signing autographs, it doesn't sound like a serious hamstring problem, as they would have been attending to that.

It was a pretty good race...In a nutshell, She didnt get a good start but by around 40m she was up on the field along with Jeter whom she pretty mucb ran with until about the last 10m when she pulled away. her stride pattern during this last 10m or so was off as to me she seemed like she was overstriding...After the race, she grabbed her right hammy I think and was rubbing/hitting it. she started walking and was limping a bit and had to stop...One of the other ladies helped her to take her spikes off...seems like a cramp or somethng...she was signing autographs after though... Just hope everything was /is okay...

VCB won with a time of 10.96, and was holding her hamstring. I looks like a cramp. I guess in a few hours we'll know what it is.
