    Sanders win in 51.54
Hargrove, Cox and Trotter follow her home

Needs some speedwork, but could well be sub-50 by Berlin...

Given the weather conditions, who knows what these times mean: this might have been a low-50 in the Med.

Sander ssaid herself the wind just hit her in the face when she came into the straight.

I think its safe to say she is easily 50 point something right now, she will be a threat when it comes to Berlin its all heading in the right direction for her.

                    Sanya....

stranger things have happened.... runners like her will ensure a fast semi at least... and a fast semi might actually cause Sanya to burn herself out. perfect for someone like those russians maybe that are used to running fast rounds.

As much as I respect her and hope for the best.... I am not holding my breath... last year I was sure she was winning and she didn't.... 2005 I was also very positive to her winning and she didn't.... so yeah.... for now I will just wait and see

I can understand your reservation, but again I do believe she''ll be prepared to race effectively.

so will three russians, two jamaicans and two british sprinters in particular.

I feel so sorry for anyone wishing to cruise into the final.... a sub-50 is the only way to guarantee a good lane it would seem. And that is provided we don't get any unexpected surprises from anyone.

And talking about possible surprises..... whats up with Beard?

Well with the weather possibly being a factor, those times may not be as fast as we think. But certainly even if they are, Sanya has proven this year she is more than capable of running low 49, now the other ladies haven't shown that.

Granted this isn't considering rounds, but I believe Sanya will run smart, effective rounds and eventually the finals as well.

Beard maybe simply training and resting as well.
