I love Jonathan. In my opinion along with Steve he's the best commentator the BBC have but he find it impossible to commentate on the TJ without getting a dig in at Phillips.

Achike seems very disappointed with his performances today.

Sands takes it from Achike and then Roulhac goes to #1 with a 17.33 - by far the biggest jump of the day (Sands at 17.09).

I said Idowu would have to have a disaster and he goes and has one.

Messed up with his run up, and his only really decent effort, was the marginal foul.

Not great ahead of Berlin, i wasn't aware of anything having gone wrong from the time of the Europa Cup up until now.

Rouhlac seems to be to have very stunted first two phases, with a great last one. Seems to really thump instead of float.

Agree about Edwards comentating, he never ever has a good thing to say about Idowu, really makes him sound like he has a chip on his shoulder. I actually think he is pretty good in every other instance, just not when Phillips is on screen !

17.02 for 6th place out of 8, with one NM is pretty good competition, especially given how other events were playing out (4.68 for 2nd by Isi...).
