Thats a shame she would have been a real stern test for the Brits. If Simpson and Okoro are to do well in Berlin they really need to easily beat a field like this, its really not a great field.
I still don't understand the Crystal Palace meet organiser's obsession with inviting so many mediocre American athletes, they seem to just pack out the fields everywhere....

Will Vessey grab yon A-standard? Will she throw down a 22 second last 200m? Will Alysia Johnson go out in 48.x and lose the flower in her hair? Oh, the drama!!

Maz has got to change her tactics. Be it going through the bell at 57 or 61 why does she feel the need to lead from the beginning.

When did this nonsense start? She never used to do it :x

Weird for Okoro, she doesn't quite look the same athlete this year. Her usual home straight strength just doesn't seem to be there.

Her Euro Indoors exploits certainly dont seem to have dented her confidence of front running.

I hope Jemma Simpson makes the final, she is full of confidence, and the womens 800m is wide open.

The pace was a bit slow for her to get the qual. Then, at the point in the race where she should have made her big move, she didn't seem to have anything at all. It's a shame. Had she made the team, there's no doubt in my mind that she could have made things very interesting, as she did in Eugene and in Rome.

Anyone know why Simpson was wearing generic Nike gear, not the OTC-Elite singlet that she was wearing in Eugene earlier this year?

Symmonds, Pifer, and Chris Thompson all managed to find their OTC-E tops.

Her local paper this morning described London as "her final bid" but provided no quotes from her or anything to truly confirm the statement.
