    As a Canadian, I'd like for Gary Reed to get himself in a race without someone else who has run under 1:44 this season. This field was not at all competitive for him compared to what he's going to face in Berlin.

      You need to stop watching Prefontaine movies.

      Part of the problem is Symmonds is likely slower over 400m than most of the guys he races and isn't as well-equipped for a quick early pace. I'm a bit surprised he hasn't explored the 1500 more by this point.
      So since he's slower he waits to use his speed at the end? :?
