This should be a very interesting race.I think Anna Willard will win it.

Yeah...I've got Willard for the W, with that recent 1:58. Not too many of the others are close to her 1500 PR either - three others in the race have run faster, but not this season.

          London GP - W1500m

Yes, Willard's recent 800m run was impressive -- even more so if you noticed that she was shoved by a competitor, toward Lane 3 on the backstretch, momentarily breaking stride and momentum which may explain in part why she stayed in Lane 3 on the home straightaway.

Almost overlooked is Shannon Rowbury who achieved a personal best 800m time of 2:00.94 at Paris on 17 July 2009, where one year earlier she got her 1500m personal best of 4:00.33. Rowbury is also in W1500m at London.

Does the official start list really have Rowbury's (NOT Rowberry) name that poorly misspelled? I know she's not a household name, but come on folks!

What's the point in having a pacesetter if she's going to set a pace that slow? Was that pace planned?

Willard nips Rowbury in good last lap by the US duo. Slowish, and I suspect Shannon would have fared better with faster pace.

Agreed. Shannon probably wanted 4:24 pace at the 800, not 4:34. How much does Alysia get paid to run a 2:17 high???

From I saw the slow pace I knew Anna Willard would win. None of the Europeans or Americans can handle her finishing kick.
