Great stuff - number three all-time performer. Just misses going top-10 efforts all-time (nine of which are by one Michael Carter).

How nice to see an enthusiastic crowd cheering him on.

That used to happen around here whenever Dylan Armstrong threw the Hammer.

SP and HJ are the big events right now in HS. How many 70+ SP guys were there this year?

There are 4 over 70' with the HS implement and a 5th who easily won the World Youth title with over 70' with the slightly lighter youth implement.

I think you're re-defining laziness. Go to the top of this page, click on Lists, then click on High School Boys, then on 2009. You can see the HJ list there, too.

In Dave's defense, the lists maintained here on the T&FN site do not have a reputation of being up to date. I did notice recently that they are working on rectifying this.

There is one other junior age thrower - Jordan Clarke - who was not among the 5 I mentioned above - who may be the best of them all - but who really knows when they are all still teenagers . He threw over 70' last year in HS. He will probably win the Pan - Am Juniors this year.

Actually, is was the rather classic definition of "rhetorical question"....

The High School lists are usually kept pretty close to well up to date. The current boys list has been updated through July 24--that's just 3 days ago.

Like I said, they have been working on it. It was not always thus. The high school top-10 all-time list (currently unavailable) languished without updates for years. It was easy enough for any visitor to get the idea that things were not being kept up to date.
