I do not think that VCB is in the shape she was in last year. I think she is capable of a 10.9low or a high 10.8. Not sure if that will be enough. It might be. As for the 200M, she might be ready to go low 22 or high 21.9. Again, not sure if it will be enough. It might be.

I do not think she is a lock to win; Vlasic has been looking better again and AF has a bit of an injury. She is not in the same class as the others. Isi is a bigger odds favorite than Bolt, by far (or at least she was on Thursday).

Bankers suck at predicting. If they knew what they were doing they would not have needed the government bailout. in the same ways these picks will need a bailout in august !

huh? Most of his picks are solid..........

Don't make fun of someone else's picks if you don't have any of your own. Who do you think will win gold then?

Surprises can come from anywhere (as we saw in the women's PV this weekend). But there are a few athletes I would bet the farm on:

Bolt of course in the 100,200 and his 4x100m team.
Kerron Stewart in the women's 100
                Sanya Richards in the 400m
                Merritt in the 400m

                      bolt 100 n 200
looking like Merritt in the 400 even though his last few races haven't been great
                      4x400 america men
                      10k bekele
4x100 jam men n woman unless baton exchange mess up.
                      robles 110h

that might be my bet come world champs, put £20 on it. Might take out the 4x100 and put a more risky bet or 2 in to bulk out the odds. Basically 4x100 will have crap odds and an element of risk, so not worth it.

I don't think either of these two persons has a chance to start at the WC, but we have a talented high jumper with a vaguely similar name who might win in Berlin.

I'd add Phillips in the LJ to that list.

The remarkable champion did retire last December, and should have had her child last month.

Add to the fact that you don't have a team that practices as regularly as the Racer's Track Club and a few of those guys running better than some of Bolt's Jamaican counterparts as of right now! Its no sure thing!
