Does matter what order the US is, they will be playing second fiddle to Jamaica in Berlin
And when is your due again???
Leave the thread, and go to one of the billion Bolt/Jamaican threads, seriously, its getting old and you are one of the few thats killing this website with nonsense.
Trindon Holliday is no joke btw. He seems to run even better in relays than in regular 100's too btw, so his name should be up there with the likes of Edwards/Williams/Trammel/etc in my opinion. I dunno why people still overlook him so much, given how great of a season he's been having.
Umm...yeah...its called LSU FOOTBALL being right the corner and its clear he's chooses FOOTBALL over track as he has turned down going in 2007 after placing 2nd!!!
And its also called not making the finals at U.S. Nationals.
Ivory has been consistent this year I would ride with him.
Scratch you were hype after Penns but now u seem a little skeptical...lol
 Oh dont flatter yourself now.
Who knew Tyson would get hurt and Dix out of shape and unfocused?
Much less, the rapid emergence of Blake.
I still say (confidently) Jamaicas Beijing lineup vs what ours "would've" been was a U.S. victory. I dont wish anybody any bad luck, but Blake still has to be cleared to compete. If he cant, things may just be Even Steven again.
....Dont speak too soon
I understand this.
I still would switch Doc and Crawford, but I get what youre doing.
Tyson vs Blake on 2nd what be incredible. Doc used be a curve dweller at TCU, so he's no stranger to the corner. Its just that Crawford's been getting more work at 3rd in recent years, so I'd leave him there. But again, I understand. Wally, if by some strange happenstance that we're leading (stumble, baton botch, zone mishap) might discourage Powell after 50m because of his awesome top end finishes.
...Overall, I like your idea.
We don't need Blake. Frater, Mullings Bolt and Powell will be difficult to overcome.
YES YOU DO!!!
He is Jamaica's Trump card. Powell is suspect mentally, and physically he's not the same animal he was a yr ago. If by chance he's challenged, he could fold. This is a relay, so anything could happen before the stick reaches him.
So Blake is very much a key to any hopes of them breaking their own record, although I'd agree your lineup is a threat still. But you cant tell me with Mullings they'd be as fast. I doubt it. I'd feel much more confortable with someone other than Gay on 2nd with Mullings. Blake knows he can dominate there now. I'd put Spearmon on Mullings with no problem, and Tyson back on 3rd.
If I were Jamaica, I'd lead-off with Mullings, and keep the Beijing order the rest of the way. Keep it simple.
How about
Rodgers
Patton or Spearmon
Crawford
Gay?
I thought Spearmon to Crawford was solid at London, but i think Doc deserves to be on the final relay. Either guy would work at 2nd.
We really need Tyson to work the middle of the race to regulate damage by Bolt/Blake. If Blake doesnt run, I could see us anchoring Tyson in that order.
If otherwise, we need his strength elsewhere.
I understand this.

Finally we agree on something!
And yes, having Doc and Shawn switch curves with each other seems like it fine tunes this perfectly.
I will be really happy if this ends up being our actual 4x100 setup for the finals!
I still don't think it will be anywhere near fast enough to take down a Jamaican Mullings  Blake  Bolt  Powell team though, but I mean, we still have to try!
With this setup I think we will be even with each other at the end of leg 1, and then a little ahead at the end of leg 2, and then quite a ways behind at the end of leg 3. So, basically Spearmon will have to make up a couple meters of ground on Powell on anchor. But, the crazy thing is, there is probably a 10% chance (or maybe even slightly better) that PRECISELY THAT can happen! Spearmon is fucking POSSESSED (okay, I'm atheist so not literally, but you know what I mean, lol) when he sees someone a couple meters ahead of him on a straight, so we all KNOW he is going to be in his dream scenario being 2 meters behind Powell at the start of that anchor stretch. It will probably be more or less the fastest anyone will ever see Spearmon move horizontally. Ever. In his entire career. I mean, in terms of mph. He is going to be MOVING. Powell on the other hand, might hear footsteps and freak the fuck out. It wouldn't be the first time he's choked under pressure. So if Asafa chokes, even just a little, Spearmon is absolutely going to gobble that up on Anchor. If Powell keeps his shit together though, Jamaica will win, but, there is definitely no guarantee that he will. I badly want to see this race!
The USA might not win a medal. I think Trinidad and France can beat them.
Actually if there is one thing that london showed us is that USA should end up in at least silver. With essentially a thrown together team they posted a very fast time. Trinidad, Great Britian, Canada and France will have a tough time beating the time the Americans posted in London. I expect whatever team they put together to go under 38.00, and that should be at least silver.
