    friedrich
    jamal

none of them are certs i'd like to pick savinova but don't trust RUS outside RUS and with trials at weekend i don't know if that mean she'll be in form or tired !!

jamal should be a shoe in but who knows what alminova will do and Burka's there as well

friedrich makes sense but blanka is still the better jumper

i don't really know who mekkenon is !!!

i think savigne won the last head 2 head but it's a toss up between her and lebedeva

i have no idea how this one will go but i know i need a good meet i fell 400 places with ridiculous captain choice at the weekend so and advice is welcome

Savinova is not on the list so you can't pick her anyway. I don't think Jamal is a shoo-in. Burka has been stronger this season. Friedrich will be 2nd at worst so a pretty good pick. I've chosen both Spotakova and Nerius for now. Not sure that's smart or not, but seems safer than betting on most of the other events.

I agree. With Burka in the race, I'd say Jamal's chance of winning is just slightly better than 50%.

        my team

demus - captain - ok so she *seems* to be running well lol

savigne - always seems to do well for me - lazy pick
        spotakova - same story
LOLO - ok she had better run her butt off
lavillenie - i never saw this guy until paris and he has got some talent for sure
boukensa - reallly stretching here, but come on he runs 3:32 in rome for 4th. time for a win and has run under 3:32 each year since 06

i take back all that advice i gave in my last post lol. This game is going to get really hard for the last 2 meets. Going to be alot of talk about best picks for seconds and thirds lol

A very tough one. I've gone with:

Jamal as captain (I've only noticed now that Burka is also on the startlists, but I've picked Burka already anyway)
          Baala
          Taher
          Savigne
          Nerius
          Clement

Wouldn't be surprised if they all lost. :?

            As for now I have:
            (C) Merrit
Isa Phillips (hoping that a run in 48.1 range will be enough again)
            Mokoena
            Spotakova
            Demus
            Taher

            Starting to get hard now

They had a schedule up..... briefly.
              The schedule is there.
Would you mind posting a link. I can't find them anywhere.

                From Chris at the IAAF:
"While there is no “official” wording written into the Rules – the way it has always worked and will continue to work is that if your athlete finishes second they will get the points for second place – regardless if the first place was available for selection or not…no other easy way to deal with it, and in fact I think this is the fairest and most common sense anyway."

He also said that the game for Berlin will be open in just a few days.

I don't think it's becoming haard because i've used everyone (I still have plenty of big names left) it's just that the fields are getting better.

                  Lebedeva v Savigne
                  Jamal v Spotakova + Alminova
                  Arianne v Blanka
                  Spotakova v Nerius

Of those 9 athletes I've only used 1 so far but can't choose between them???

I'm also not helped by my complete lack of knowledge about the Men's middle distances. That's 4 events in this meet that I have no idea who to choose. I don't even know who most of the competitors are.

Can I get some advice please???

Other than LaShawn & Lashinda does anyone else look like a firm favourite?

savinova is on the list i'm looking at :?

i remember burka beating jamal early in the season but jamal has looked amazing since then but i worry about her tactics she often goes from too early or to hard and blows up, burka will take advantage of that. i think i'll save her for a race without burka

going for 2nds seems like admitting defeat but i'm sticking with friedrich i think it's 50/50 at worst for her with blanka

i may also go for 2 in same event

                    babs and steffi
                    VCB and SAF
lebedeva or sevigne (actually just looked up year list and lebe is way down but that doesn't mean anything !!)

eek this one is hard there are some some really close contests
                    i deserve extra credit

                      My team is;

                      Merritt
                      Borza
                      Komon
                      Demus
                      Savigne
                      Spotakova

I don't even think Alminova is racing so if that's true, you can leave her out.

                      I'd favour Nerius over Spotakova.

Although I'm thinking about putting in Mokoena to replace Komon or Savigne, who I'm not too confident about.

which leaves me with some nice picks for later in the season i hope

                          Merrit
                          Mokoena
                          Demus
                          Jamal
                          Savigne
                          Spotakova

I'm surprised at how many big names i still have to go. This looks solid if not spectacular.

I'm not sure I would choose Krevsun. In her last three races she ran 2:01 for fourth in Milan, 2:02 for seventh in Moscow and 2:05 for 10th in Madrid.
