  • '09 Stockholm mSP: Tomasz Majewski 21.95! [72-¼]

Just read it on a Polish site. A new NR (beating Edward Sarul's 21.68 from 1983) and WL.

    1 Tomasz Majewski POL 21.95 PB 21.65 21.95 21.44 X X 21.83
    2 Reese Hoffa USA 21.53 20.55 21.46 21.36 X 21.14 21.53
    3 Adam Nelson USA 20.73 20.16 20.73 X 20.27 X 20.63

A fantastic series by Majewski as well - 3 puts beyond his previous PB (which he set just 5 days ago). With his ability to peak for the big events, it's scary to think what he can do in Berlin.

Wow the competition is calle "Big Shot" and Majewski really made the name count!

He looks more and more as a winner i Berlin with his preformances in recent champs in mind.

        WOWSA!!!

Love Majewski. My favourite male athlete.

Not only won me £600 at Ol;ympics but gives me a high 5 every time I see him and disco dances like a demon!!!

I think the Yanks have just requested that the O'Brien style be banned.

That's a huge breakthrough for Majewski in that for the first time he was able to match the top Americans' SBs. His ability to win the WCh no longer depends on US putters being sub-par like it did in Beijing - he can now beat them even if they have a good day.

I guessed better when I predicted him to win Beijing gold...and won loads of $$$$$!

Is it just the throwing events taking place tonight?

He convinced me when he bounced back from London loss with PR win in Barcelona the next day.

Why are they holding the shot a day early?

                        It's a special "street" competition.

Not to mention yet a country to choose from for the IAAF Fantasy Game.

                          After USA, Russia, Kenya.....countries 18, 19, 20 are tough.
