  • Miami: Wet Enough For A Swimming Nationals?

Sorry, us Northwest guys just can't get used to the thoughts of Miami as a nationals (to say nothing of OT!) site simply cuz of the humidity. Let's hope this idea dies a quick death.

Bring on the humidity. Let's have it down here in Houston. It'll give us a nice advantage.

It has been in Houston previously (as well as NCAA Outdoors, both of which Louisana has also hosted) -- in the 80s at UH's Robertson Stadium, IIRC.

Correct, we had the 1983 NCAA champs at Robertson Stadium at the University of Houston and the TAC Nationals at the same place in 1989 as well as the T&F for the Sports Festival in '96. All went off like clockwork and JJK set a WR in the Hep. at the '86 Festival, and that was in July -- normally not the best part of a Texas summer.
