  • So, anyone placing any bets this year?

I notice Ladbrokes and Sportingbet aren't offering many events yet but I'll probably put some money on later on.

Anyone else throwing some cash on?

(And yes, this thread is blatantly aimed at nicking Mump & Flump's tips and earning money off them for the third year running....)

What are the current odds? A link would do.

Well that's what I'm saying...I don't really know. There are only specials and the men's 100 and shot putt up at Ladbrokes...

And Jon - those accumulators (sp?) last year were awesome!!

Daisy - Ladbrokes only have 2 events and a few specials up at the moment...

I am not going to place any bets, but oddschecker.com seems to point to several other sites that have odds for a fairly decent number of events.

Just looked at ladbrokes. Seems like slim pickings. Only events were mens shot and the 100. Hoffa might be worth it at 4.50?

Does sweden have any medal hopes? One special was:

Sweden to win a medal 6.00

Sweden will be lucky to get a finallist, let alone a medal...

Anyway, I'll check out that site. Thanks!

That was my thought too. Maybe these guys are getting more bets from savvy track fans. In previous years there have been some obvious ones to choose.

                  Yes, I will be.

This site looks pretty decent for bets but I hope Ladbrokes and William Hill make a bit more of an effort in the next few days...

i think ladbrokes will have more odds at the last WC they has all events and i had a bif win with TBO :-)

can't decide untill i see the odds but i can't think of many bets i'd like to make right now
                    i deserve extra credit

Any bets catching your eye so far Nevets et al ?

Boylesports has TBO at 10/1 at the moment, same as Krivoshapka...

Yeah, I'm struggling for ideas too. The only bets which I am thinking about are each-way bets on Ksenija Balta in the long jump (I'd say she will be 8/1-12/1) and Ryan Brathwaite in the 110mH. I'd like to see what sort of odds they will give Benhassi in the w800m too.

I have a feeling that Shericka Williams might take the gold in the w400m and she's 12/1.

Alminova at 12/1 in the 1500m looks quite tasty because Jamal does blow hot and cold at major champs and Russian 1500m runners normally perform well at major champs.

Like I said, Brathwaite is 16/1 and could be a medal contender and Trammell at 12/1 is worth an each-way bet too.

Will probably place a lot of bets. But mostly H2H when the champs are on their way. Unibet and Nordicbet will hopefully put som good odds out there.

Are bookies REALLY stupid enough to offer TBO at 10/1 AND make her second favourite for the race? Is Sanya THAT MUCH of a lock ?
