Simply awful performance by the U.S. men. Someone at least please tell me McAdams was injured, sick, something to excuse a...gasp...9:02!?!?!?

Literally a heart problem, not a problem of heart (for him, and if you saw him at NCAAs you would not think that he had a problem of heart, as he really accounted for his team's success).

Maybe we should get the U.S. men versus the Russian women together for a steeplechase battle!

After Sanya finally got the monkey off her back, maybe Koech can follow and do the same.

I get a big fat zero from this event. Picked the wrong two Kenyans and the wrong Frenchman

Guess the training with the Kenyans in Kenya paid off this year.

Obviously this crop ran way below their potential but the 13:1x/27:xx type guys aren't running the event at the moment. When they do (Lincoln, Famiglietti) they make finals.

True. Unfortunately it's also true that most of the time in the US and other places it's the guys who aren't very good at other events who shuttled into the steeple, unless you're in Kenya where they take the event seriously, as in very, and have their best guys giving it a go.
