Turner picked up a hamstring injury earlier this week at the UK training camp. He said he'll still be on the start line, but he won't be at his best. Shame because he seemed to be on course to make the final this year.

This was one of the deepest events for two or three seasons with five or six very good hurdlers competing against each other with regularity all around the circuit running fast times and trading victories.

It appears to have regressed somewhat, as shown by the lack of responses in this thread to date I guess, although I suppose it doesn't get started until much later in the week.

This is the first time in ages I'm more excited about the competition in the men's long jump than I am in the men's sprint hurdles LOL. Hopefully Robles and Trammell will do something special, but I get the feeling even they're not at the peaks they were in past seasons.

Is Robles injured? He did just enough to qualify, but he was just jogging for most of the race. Definitely didn't look right.

Looks like hamstring (also Turner's problem).

Definitely didn't look like he wanted to approach the race like he did, there was also a bandage underneath his jersey.

Turner tore his hamstring during the GB training camp.

A real shame because he looked as though he would make the final, which would have been a just reward after drawing Robles and Liu in his semi-final in Osaka and with all the names crashing out, he could have been close to a medal.

Robles stated in the interview with Eurosport (not sure about their translation though) that the muscular problems he has had all year long resurfaced again.

Merritt said he twisted his ankle before the race.

                            What happened to Liu Xiang?

and like someone mentioned this was an event where there was at least 6 Top guys to lookout for. I feel this and the Women's 200 hasn't been the same quality wise in the past 2 years.
