Am I alone in LIKING the fact that this is usually just a cake-walk? I relish the opportunity to just watch the high-prob of win.

If LM wins it'll be interesting to see what the lineup is. It's been 5 years since JW wasn't the anchor.

            JW will still anchor.

Merritt won on the biggest stage of them all and JW still anchored.

Wariner hasnt been the anchor for 5 years. In 04 and 05 I believe Williamson anchored.

But it really doesnt matter who anchors.

                JW anchored in '05.

Last year at Penn they ran their Olympic relay and LM lead and JW anchored. I believe that was why they kept JW as anchor. This year they didn't run the relay as a team at Penn.

Trinidad and Tobago not entered. No Ato(Modibo)Stephens.Cuba has a bare four including William Collazo(400),Omar Cisneros(400 hurdles),Yeimer Lopez(800) an Yunior Diaz(decathlon). If Alvin Harrison runs and is near to what he used to be the Dominican Republic should be in the top 6.

Trinidad messed up by not having more national teams run at their Natioal meet, thus not meeting the standard needed in order to get their relay in.

And Ato will be on a break for a while.

Given the recent indifferent form of the Aussie men (and the unpredictability of Steffensen), that sounds about right to me.

If T&T definitely out of the mix, Aussies may well finish a spot or too higher (but they aren't where they looked like being 6-12 months ago)...

As for the women, I laughed hard at that one. I'm stunned we have even sent a team (as I am in Men's 4x1 too). I guess when Rawlinson was a chance to run it seemed worth it...

i'm surprised you think belgium is not in the top 10, even without one borlee. and aren't the russians a bit too high in this ranking?

US could drop the baton and still win.

Belgium will go top 8, even without one of the Borlees.
