  • If you could only watch one W.C. event?

Which one? I know it's tough but if you dont choose one then you dont get to see any, those are the rules.

Men's 100 is an easy choice but the damn thing is over in 9.6 seconds. 8-)

Woman's Marathon is quite interesting if Paula is in form, but that's not known.

I'm taking the men's 1500. In a Championship race, which are usually slow, does Lagat still have that gear at the end? I know he has the experience but does he have that one extra kiddee up? A win would be especially sweet after his last Olympics.

    2nd choice mens 5000m, again with a Bek- Lagat in a 1:50 last 800.

Women's 800m for me because there are so many uncertainties and unknown factors. The two fastest athletes in the world are Semenya and Vessey and neither of them have been tested on the international stage and the more experienced athletes like Jelimo, Jepkosgei and Benhassi have not showed their best form this year but it will be interesting to see if they will be strong enough. Throw in a few decent Russians and one of two others (Martinez, Cusma, Petlyuk etc) and it should be one hell of a race.

Of course if Paula is fit for the marathon, that's always going to be high of my list too.

Women's 400mH should be great with Demus and Walker as well as Antyukh and Morosanu (similar to the 800m in terms of experience v. inexperience).

Really looking forward to both 1500m races, particularly the men's 1500m and perhaps the outside chance of Kiprop scoring a middle-distance double.

Women's hammer, women's high jump, men's shot put and men's long jump are my highlights on the in-field.

          1. W100h - I can't remember a more open event.

          2. WMar - just for the Paula factor.

I want to say men's 100m final, but I'm confident that Bolt is going to win more comfortably than some think. I really am looking forward to the 4x100m finals, both men and women. Those, if JA and USA make it, and if the sticks get around, should be amazing.
