hjsteve says hi as well. Most of the people here are very enthusiastic track and field fans that want to have a little fun exchanging ideas about the past and the future.

Don't let Larry Rawson know you are 34. He'll want to put you out to pasture.

                  Re: Newbie here

Larry Rawson is the ESPN commentator who covers track meets on American TV and manages to enrage almost everyone on this message board with his manner and words. Count yourself as lucky that you have never heard of him.
See, in Europe (as you know if you are really a Spanish high jumper) they do this odd thing... TV networks actually show entire track meets from start to finish and provide announcers who know something about the sport and who also assume that the audience knows something about the sport as well. Not so here in North America.
Anyway, welcome... what part of Spain are you from?

For what it's worth, Madrid has my favorite museum in the world: the Prado. Seeing the Velazquez paintings there has been the highlight of my 35-year museum-going experience. (Thought I'd add a little international culture here...)
