      Abakumova just walked out on a second-round improvement that was clearly 64 meters. Her first round was 63.01, which had her 5th at the end of that round, and her foul would have mode her past Menendez, who is 4th at 63.11.

                  Steffi Nerius: perfect example of getting one's act together when it really counts. On paper, Spotakova, Abakumova and Obergföll are all better than her. But with one attempt left Nerius is still leading.
