            The standard was pretty poor this morning. In Beijing last year, 15 women got over the automatic qualifier of 18.45. This time, 18.10 was enough to qualify.

                  Great throw by Kleinert!

                  Gong is looking good, too. In fact, the entire Chinese team is looking great in Berlin. They've already got two medal in the walks and top-class results in both men's and women's TJ qualifying. It may take over 20 meters to medal here, but I won't be too shocked if Gong pulls it off.

                    Val out of the top 3 after two rounds - that would be the biggest upset of these championships if she stayed there.
