What happened to Devetzi - injured?
Lebedeva seems to be off form - pity! I would love her to win back "her" title...
Alekhina had that huge jump at Nationals but she has been around for a long time and never looked this good, I am very curious to see what she can do.
Would love to see the ever-consistent Pyatykh medal!

Devetzi faced some injury problems all year round and did not manage to get in form early so she doesn't compete....

It's a pity beacuse it would be easy for her to medal with such a level....

I think her best jumb this year is
13.83 Françoise Mbango Etone CMR 6th Réthimno
So, I would say that's why she isn't on the list.

Devetzi's "replacements" are not bad though and I won't be surprised if one of them make it to the top 8.

Perra in her mid 20s won the Mediterranean games in an impressive 14.62 but she does not seem to be very consistent (below 14m in European Cup but she was a last minute replacement over Devetzi and then 2nd in Greek Championship with just 14.01)

The one to watch I think is much younger Papachristou (20 years old), bronze medalist from last year's world juniors.

She is improving one step at the time and she may improve again in Berlin. In this year alone, she was at the final of European indoors (14.47 in preliminaries), third in the Med Games, 1st in the Euro 23 with 14.34 and then she won the Greek Championships with 14.35.

                From the IAAF blog:

11:42 Moderator - Savigne is not in the triple jump start lists.
                :?

This is why care less and less to see athletics in tv.

You have a triple qual and they gave 3 jumps delayed 40 min.

And now the 100 prelim gets 4536579988 minutes of coverage.

I am pretty sure the 100 final will have a 2 hour coverage.

So the best jumper of the year out of the final.

                              Alekhina makes 13.60.

Some results in the rus championship are so faked.
