Solomon and Knight aren't in the pool of the "final 6."

Jeter, Lee, Lauryn Williams, Felix, Hooker, Anderson is the squad.

I almost wanna say whichever team (US/JA) that gets the inside lane for some reason.

But the US fueled by their recent time and confidence, wins the 4x1 by a nose over JA as Jeter holds off VCB for gold.

        Oh yeah...in WR time. 8-)

Just based on Stats..... Jamaica should win this easy! They have 3 women that have run sub 11 recently compared to one US woman.

Reality is that Team Jamaica may not be as much of a "Team" as the US team. The only saying applies...
It is not the 4 fastest ladies, it is the 4 ladies that get the stick around the fastest!

Hmm, the British times listed are somewhat misleading of current form...

To put it mildly ... I was also rather amused by the following article http://www.morethanthegames.co.uk/at...n-shine-berlin where Miss Turner makes the rather interesting statement "The Germans again are not as fast as us on the flat but they do well because they have good changeovers.". Let's hope she is better at running than at reading season lists.
Bahamas, Russia and Germany can go for Bronze and below 43. I'm less convinced in GB's case.

this event has been very unpredictable lately, so much can go wrong (nigeria a bronze medal in beijing???? who'dda thunk. even brazil finished 4th!!!!!!!!!!!)

when did T&T and italy become so good???? how times change.

i can see (and i hope) bahamas gets up for 3rd. i'm predicting US over jamaica (no botched passes this time).

Unless Jamaica drops the baton, it should be an easy win for them. With two 10.7 runners(Fraser and Stewart) and one 10.8 runner(Veronica) plus and 11 sec runner, it should be a runaway victory in a new world record similar to the mens 4 x 100m in Berlin.

The US women will be a distant second.

UAS 41.58, Jam 42.24 are not irrelevant stats.

This should be a very exciting race. This will be closer than some think, but I still look for the Jams to win in record time.
