I acn't watch. Round 5 minutes to go, Loughnanne of Ireland just bursts into 2nd place but gets a warning....hang on in there, but for God's sake no DQ! :!:

Platzer surprisingly DQ'd and it's Hong of China in bronze with a warning.

That was a very predictable easy win by Kaniskina, and a surprising 2-3.

Susana Feitor, in her record 10th WCh finished 10th.

I saw at least 5 women collapsing in the end. Why do they have such a grueling race at noon?

                Not Kaniskina.

She is the best russian athlete, better than Isinbayeva.

Olive Loughnane wins Ireland's first World Champs medal since Gillian O'Sullivan in 2003, who won....silver in the w20km!

Cuz 99 times out of a 100 the weather wouldn't be remotely like this? (was about 86 when the race ended; it were toasty out tehre)

And this, of course, is the argument for moving the WC permanently to colder climates

Kanaskina was my Russian pick in the IAAF fantasy game over Isi. However, I must admit it was because her final was first and gave me adequate time to switch to another Russian if she faltered.

Anyway, 100 points in the bank.

86 degrees is above average, but nowhere near as unusual in this climate as you make it sound.

Are the Germans handing out SQUARE medals? What's up with that?
