Hyleas Fountain, GA, 4417 (collegiate record) in the pentathlon, first in the hj, and first in the lj. WOW! Is she the next JJK?

Doesn't Austra Skujyté from Kansas State hold the collegiate record? I may be wrong in this regards. Even more impressive, Fountain came back on Saturday afternoon to also claim the high jump (5-10.50) and long jump (21-01.50) while both events were being contested at the same time.

How about that men's 800M qualifying? As T&FN would say, "Hot!"

And I got to watch her compete all throughout high school (she went to a neighboring high school). Quite a show. Her older sister Julia was quite the athlete as well.
