(Beach Boys) here in the stadium, I have to note that what, 95% of the music the music dudes are playing (couple of 20-somethings; one a very famous nightclub DJ from Munich) would have been right in place at my high school proms 40 years ago.

The German song? "Das ist Berlin" Die ewig junge Stadt. Don't know the singer, sounds like Marlene Dietrich.

Not Dietrich; some famous German singer of the '60s and '70s who appeared in a couple of Hollywood films apparently. Definitely a Dietrich clone, however.

side note: the bar in our hotel is named Marlene and has pictures of her all over the walls.

Sounds like Hildegard Knef. Interestingly, Dietrich also performed the song way back when. So everybody's really right.

You are right. It's got to be Hildegard Knef. She had the voice and the looks!!
