    You are right. It's got to be Hildegard Knef. She had the voice and the looks!!

    side note: the bar in our hotel is named Marlene and has pictures of her all over the walls.

    The German song? "Das ist Berlin" Die ewig junge Stadt. Don't know the singer, sounds like Marlene Dietrich.

    As i sit and listen to Ba-Ba-Baran

    (Beach Boys) here in the stadium, I have to note that what, 95% of the music the music dudes are playing (couple of 20-somethings; one a very famous nightclub DJ from Munich) would have been right in place at my high school proms 40 years ago.

    As in, classic American stuff. I mean, when's the last track meet you went to and heard Mungo Jerry?
