An update via the normally reliable LA Daily News:

Gray appears on his way to UCLA

Johnny Gray ... appears set to take over coaching middle distance runners and serve as a cross country assistant at UCLA ...
Although UCLA hasn't made a formal announcement regarding the hiring of Gray ... several sources close to the UCLA cross country program confirmed receiving an e-mail Saturday informing them of the new coach.

Meanwhile, back in world of the U.S. domestic track scene, there are strong rumors that 800m AR holder, the venerable Johnny Gray, could be on his way to UCLA as an assistant coach.

As a UCLA alum, I think this would be a great addition to the team.
