There has been a nasty rumour making the rounds regarding VCB not congratulating her teamates in the 100. That's nonsense. Depending on whether you watched the race on Universal or NBC, you may not have seen the same video after the race. I watched the race on NBC/Versus and I clearly saw VCB hugging her mates after the race.

As a huge fan of VCB, I am really concerned about her image in the wake of this WC.

VCB did congratulate everyone, albeit some more briefly than others. The first person she talked to after the race was Lauryn, thats a fact. She congratulated her teammates and jeter, and then talked to Lauryn and Muna again.

Can't be Muna because she wasn't in the race and Jeter had looked shell shocked so am sure it was not her. I think it might have been Lauryn and Debbie.

True, true, true. It was Debbie. But VCB congratulated everyone in the race is my point. I just noticed that most of her time after the race seemed to be with Lauryn, and Lauryn was visibly pissed.

If she's angry enough... she may be in a different uniform.
            2 questions:

1 how do you know SAF and Kerron's injuries were not legit?
2 What different uniform might that be?
            1. I don't.

            2. Stars and stripes.

I have not heard Steve Francis mentioned yet. But I wonder what his role i this was? After the training camp fiasco it would not surprise me if he orchestrated this piece of defiance too.
              Yep.

Franno issue an inferred threat to JAA about other athletes doping in Jamaica.

Undoubtedly he had something to do with this.

              Maybe an ultimatum.

But that question didnt just surface at WC.

                Its been discussed all year.

VCB hasnt been eager to congratulate or even look at SAF.

And thats obvious to anyone who's even remotely paid attention.

This is the first WC 100m they have entered that neither VCB or LW hadn't medalled, taking the first two places at that.

As for Lauryn, she seems to be losing that 'championship performer' title. Not that making the final doesn't deserve praise... but the field seems to be getting too fast for her. She needs to start going sub-10.9 soon...

Thats going out on a limb with that one.....
Then again.. I don't know everything that goes on so I guess I best not assume too much.

Do you have the exact quote and the context? When did he say this?

I always thought VCB was out of line and most thought that she was in the right. Do you guys still feel the same way about the situation now that all the details are out?
I agree. Pouting "this position or none at all" is a behaviour of a primadona, not a team player. I always thought, Veronica was a class act. This is not too classy.

I am in no position to analyze every detail of the story. In team sports (I consider relay a team), a player is assigned a position/role and I expect him/her to say "Yes Sir/Ma'am!
