Remember that Bolt said he would train for the 400m next year. Tyson does early season 400s, so maybe they will meet in the 400m! Who wins then (other than us)?

Why is Bolt training for 400, is it same reason to increase his stamina for 200 ala Felix, or is it to help in his preparation for his assault on the LJ WR? Why??
I know in the 400 LW has invited Bolt to "bring it on". Why would he want to detract from what got him there in the 1st place. Is he tired of the 100 and 200 already? Tell us Usain , "What's UP"- suckers need to know!

        i'd proffer a suggestion

if you lose no intrinsic base speed, a 1s improvement in an already solid 400pb ( bolt's is at 45-low ) can offer upto

        0.0625s over 100m

        0.25s over 200m

        worth thinking about...

It hasn't quite worked out that way for Allyson Felix.

Eldrick, what do you think Asafa's market value is?

                well

she had a pretty pathetic 51.12pb in '05 - had to be worth better with some frequency at the time - same year a 22.13 which was low-altitude pb

                in '07 she went 49.70 & 21.81

                51.12 ( poor pb ) - 49.70 = 1.42s
                22.13 - 21.81 = 0.32

                accounting for poor 400pb in '05 ( not "solid" ) & wind/osaka track, that isn't far off 0.25 ratio !!

Did you count Asafa's victory over him in Stockholm last year? He may have made his quota.
He hadnt beaten him since all these 9.9's, 9.5's & 19.1's tho.

Powell beat Bolt after Bolt ran a 9.72 WR. You said, "entire career".
If you're ever walking down the beach and you see a girl dressed in a bikini made out of seashells, and you pick her up and hold her to your ear, you can hear her scream.
