I really like Isinbayeva's honesty in her press-conference. Hard to argue with what she is saying.

I note that the World Champ is in the field. Suppose she did not compete for the rest of the year and Isi went on to win the Golden League Jackpot who would secure the # 1 ranking for the event at year end.???

As she pointed out in the interview, her Berlin failure was 'just on of those things'. I agree that she did NOT come in too high; she just wasn't focused on what she was supposed to be doing. Call it overconfidence or a low-energy day (we all have those), but she did not execute her Isiness. She could easily start at 4.60 (15'ish).

Didnt read the interview, she could coming in at 15 but should she. Following her worst performance in a big meet ever, shouldnt she come in early for a little confidence?

Mr. Contrary says 'no', she should come in at 15', blast over it (it might take 2 tries) just to prove to herself that Berlin was a fluke and move on.

Isi usually comes in lower at Golden League Meets, so yes, I think she will come in lower at this one.
