  • Cuba 4x100 line-up in London 2012

Projecting some stats, any chances of Cuba making the finals in OG 4x100?

    24 y.o Michel Herrera 10.16 (-1.3)
    20 y.o David Lescay 10.20 (+1.5)
    24 y.o Yunier Perez 10.22 (+1.5)
    22 y.o Victor Gonzalez 10.25 (+0.8)
    17 y.o Roberto Skyers 10.31 (0.2)

Put a lot of baton exchanges work...and maybe more races in Eurocircuit.

Add Vizcaino (10.17 PB) and even Dayron Robles (anchor in 4x100 Rio Pan Am finals) in the team...

    What do you think?

The way the Cuban system is don't be surprized if it happens in 2011> could have the possibility of 5 teams under 38.0 but leave that for the Americans to prove that wrong!!

Your top four are faster than Canada's top four, and we somehow managed 5th in the WCs.

Hell yah! in feb. Lescay beat Gonzales (hand timed) 9.8 to 9.9
and Herrera has run (hand timed) 9.8 this year also. I don't believe in 0.24 FAT because the rules state that you must add 0.1 tenth to hand timed races. Also if 1 100th over must then be
changed to the next 0.10 th. To me i add 0.10 to hand times and i convert the wind and altitude which are just as important. Ex. Herrera 10.16 -1.3 converts to 10.08

          Re: Cuba 4x100 line-up in London 2012

Cuba has been in a sprint funk for some time now. They used to always have a couple world class guys. Then....poof!!! Would love to see them back in the hunt even if it's just the 4x1. There was Freddy Mayola (kinda recently) but he fizzled.
