Here we go again. Toughest event to call at any Golden League meet. I don't believe anyone has managed to win twice. That rules out Ridisha. I am siding with Yego this time. i am backing him to time his run just right this time after his recent near miss efforts. Scared of Borza though.

Let me back up my Russian horse Yuriy Borzakovskiy, even though I see it hard for him to come out of it victorious. Very interesting race! I expect a fastish time, in the 1:43.50-1:43.70 region

I thought Rudisha might have run on the inside lane line (a violation) around the first turn. Anyone else see that?

One of the worst races I've ever seen Symmonds run. He looked out of it in the first 200 meters. Wonder if he's ill, or just tired after a long season.

Reed ran a very good race considering he had to hurdle a guy(his Dec training paid off!) and then got shoved out to an outer lane by Symmonds (accident I am sure).

Oh how I wish that had been the WC race....

Yes, I thought the same and was reminded of Maria Mutola being disqualified for a similar violation in a European 800m (Goteborg WC?).

Brussels had more runners than lanes at the start of its 800m races for both men and women, similar to some 800m events at Berlin WC which had then prompted comments by T&FN forum contributors.
