  • * Has the BRUSSELS Crowd always been like this?

8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) My goodness that was great watching the meet.

Kudos to the fans out there, PA Announcer was kind of off sometimes.

I can't answer this thread's "always" question about Brussels crowd but the fans were impressive.

So was the 1995 Golden League finale crowd in the "old" Berlin stadium where I sat watching fans do the "wave" counter-clockwise around the oval, staying apace with runners. That meet ended with a huge display of fireworks after the gold bars ceremony.

I've been to Brussels about 7 or 8 times over the years, and they've always had a very good crowd--knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and--from my memory--always sold out. That stadium doesn't quite generate the "roar" that some slightly smaller (and/or more enclosed) venues do (like Zurich), but the energy level there is quite god.
