  • David Klech--enrolled at Oregon. Progress report?

He spent a difficult year at UCLA and transferred to the Ducks. His high school marks were outrageous, but he favors the 400IH. Couldn't find much data on the Internet. Wonder if he's tailed off or still has great potential. Reggie Wyatt might be ahead of where Kletch was as a HS Senior.

Use the search function here and you'll find multiple threads in which he has been discussed, at some depth.

Might be? Uh... ya... Wyatt is like way, way, way ahead of every high schooler in this planet's history, by a significant amount, actually.

Unfortunately, as gifted as Wyatt is on the track, his choice for college makes me wonder about his....

(just joking, he'll be super at USC and it was by far the best choice considering UCLA's "transition" period at the moment. I wish him the very best, and I mean that sincerely.)

Rich, you care to quantify how Wyatt is "like way, way, way ahead of every high schooler in this planet's history, by a significant amount, actually." ???

I was referring to Wyatt's record in 300h---which is like Bolt-esque, way ahead of some super-talented guys...

            35.02 -Reggie Wyatt (La Sierra, Riverside-SS) 2009
35.28 -Jeshua Anderson (Taft, Woodland Hills) 2007
35.32 -George Porter (Cabrillo, Lompoc) 1985
35.45 -David Klech (California, San Ramon) 2006
35.93 *Kevin Craddock (James Logan, Union City) 2004
