Re: U.S. Men's 400 team-World Indoors
More from Geer:
"Carter simply chose not to run the 400.
In the last hour I spoke more in depth with James, and he said that entering USA Indoors he had always planned NOT to run the 400 even if he qualified for the team. He’s run 5 races indoors, including a fast 200 and a fast 400, so it’s just not something he planned to pursue. However he will run the relay."

Re: U.S. Men's 400 team-World Indoors
Press officer Jill Geer tells me he withdrew on his own, just wanted to run the relay.

U.S. Men's 400 team-World Indoors
Maybe I missed something, but does anyone know why James Carter, who ran faster in the "B" section than Joe Mendel did in the "A" section of the men's 400 last weekend, is not running the 400 at the Worlds?
A similar situation took place in the women's 400, and GiGi Miller, who won the "B" section, displaced Demetria Washington, who finished 2nd in the "A" section with a slower time.Tags: None
