shes obviuosly doing it for the money, which fair enough, shes running out of time to earn big bucks!
as a fan tho, even if she runs 2:21 its not going to make me excited or add anything to how i feel for paula cos shes done new york 3 times already. i would rather see her run chicago and see if she could really run 2:17 again, probably not at this stage coming back from injury.
i suspect she will win, not by much, in around 2:25.
money and performance aside tho - if i was in paulas shoes id take any chance to visit new york city, i just got back 3 weeks ago and i cant wait to go back!

Fine, and more power to her.
But how about knocking off the gaming...the maybe I will (run the WC) and maybe I won't stuff. As long as attention is fixed on her the next generation of British distance runners will be an afterthought.

Then come into next year fresh and kill everyone at WC. i still think she an beat anyone in the world at the marathon but for me she has to do at a champs and not in NY at the end of the year, in a slow time which is not really of much consequencephsstt!

Not so sure she can win either a European or Commonwealth track race. The Kenyans (Masai, Kibet, Cheruiyot) would be competing at the Commonwealths, while people like Abeylegesse and a handful of Russians we've not yet heard of who will magically improve from 16:00/32:30 to 14:45/30:00 in the space of a year could be competing at the Europeans. But I would love to see Radcliffe on the track again, just for old times sake, so it would be great to see her at a British GP or something.
