I wrote too soon! Didn't realize the heats were still going on and so time qualifiers hadn't been determined yet. I apologize. Peterson still didn't qualify.
I am getting live coverage here in Jamaica. Powell pulled up in the 60 semis. Worried that he may not stand up to the rounds in Greece. I hope Mr. Francis prepares him better for the Olympics. Franno is a good coach but his athletes have a tendency to get hurt. i am not just talking about Powell and Brigitte Foster, when he was at Wolmers Boys it used to happen as well. Crawford showed a lot of top end speed in his heat. Him and Gardener should be fun later

making the IAAF World Indoor finals in the 60 meters
Actually, Ottey *did not* make the final. That was an error. The IAAF web site had her with the "q" qualifier and Eurosport reported it as well but then corrected themselves just now.
Women's 60m 19:52 : Gail Devers takes her third world indoor championship in 7.08s seconds, Gavaert in 7.12, with the Belarussian Nesterenko third in the same time! Disappointment for the French.
My mistake...the heat results on the IAAF web site had her qualifying for the finals, but I just looked at the start list for the finals and she's not on it. Sorry about that.
That's an understatement....As we all know Gail has always been able to get ready for the big ones......She has one of her bullet of a nine shooter starts it a race for the silver no matter what.....! go give em hell Gail....Go U S A.
