    At the Iowa State Meet:
    Arizona State 'A' 3:03.43
I don't know if this is an all U.S team or on on oversize track, but it is certainly better than the winning time at the World Indoor.

ASU 400 power over the years

    Ulis Williams
    Henry Carr
    Herman Frazier
    Howard Henley
    Tony Darden
    Maurice Peoples
    Ron Freeman

Only UCLA and Baylor can hang with that.

Yes, Iowa State is an oversized, 300m track.

GA Tech is the only school other than UCLA to run sub 3:00 in the 4x4 !!!

I was actually referring to an all time list of 400 sprinters.Ga.Tech simply hasn't had as many quality 400 men over the years as UCLA/Baylor

Don't forget that LSU ran 3:03.97 right behind them. Also, ASU anchor ran 43. Even though ISU is a 300 meter track, this is still damn fast. Both teams should challenge the NCAA meet record of 3:04.25 set by Oklahoma in 1997, and you can't forget about Baylor and Minnesota.

Do you have actual splits on the race, because I have not been able to find any anywhere ???

                    T&FN does, of course!

LSU 3:03.97 (Parham 46.5, Coley' 45.5, Brazell 46.1, Willie 45.9); 3. Northern Iowa 3:06.97 (Alva, Smith, Hinders, Homewood); 4. Nebraska 3:07.10; 5. Middle Tennessee 3:08.32; 6. Iowa State 3:09.40.
