Just learned of this today:

Point Loma is a small school but has had some great talent and team success on the NAIA level over the past 30 years, not to mention one of the most scenic facilities around. Sad to see the men's program go out like this. To add insult to injury, the men's team had just competed in their first meet of the season a couple of days before the announcement was made, robbing them all of the opportunity to save their eligibility for the next school to which they might transfer.
Will someone please explain how exactly this provides more opportunities for women (Title IX), as opposed to simply limiting opportunities for men?
