yes Fortis4Eva, its great that Lauryn had a chance to see our/Jamaica track culture and hospitality.

Sorry that our school KC didn't win this year again but nobody could have written a better story-line than Wolmers winning the first Champs in 1910 and then coming back to win the 100th Champs after
a 54 years drought.
Congratulations shivfan, great Wolmers win......... KC looks forward to doing battle next year...same place....same time !!!

This is one of the most interesting dynamics I've encountered in a long time. Calabar is happy that Wolmer's won because Wolmer's isn't KC, KC is happy Wolmer's won because Wolmer's isn't Calabar. And I'm not just saying this based on what has been posted here; it was expressed to me in person by a friend who is a Calabar old boy. It's funny when looked at from outside of the whole KC/Calabar rivalry.

I'm happy that Wolmer's won it because I attended Wolmer's for a year. The Centennial win bookending the first and latest Champs was icing on the cake.

Besides Wolmer's winning, I thoroughly enjoyed the three-way battle for the title. I was glued to the radio and/or tv for four days.

WOLMAZ TO DI FLIPPING WURRLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to wolmaz prep and wolmaz high so I have been waitng for this for a LONG time.



I told people we were gonna win, but ppl doubted me. I was very very very pleased with how the whole affair went about. I was there to witness it all and was very proud and loud wolmaz old boy at champs this year.

t_monk, my brother attended Wolmers Prep and High (migrated to Canada in 2nd Form) also.
I can't imagine what it must feel like to win after 54 years. In my 7 years at KC, we never lost
Champs and that was extended to 14 years straight victories.
So enjoy the win, nice story.
