To add: Skeen has really just learned how to run (reminds me of when Blake just got polished at St. Jago), this really is his first season optimizing this sweet form we see him putting on out there. I mean there are stll tonnes of work out there for that youngster, but to see a kid dominate his class running hard sprints from as early as January to date, two of them being hardeous meets involving over something like 14 rounds for him within a week of each other. And he is within .02 of the bests of the older boys would definately give him major points of being the better talent to the older guy.

Plus not to knock him, but Geno has such short legs, I see that as a disadvantage for him when they all reach full maturity compared to Skeen's more athletic form.

Agreed. Skeen's form is smooth and effortless...like he's not even trying. Same with Jazeel. I don't see Geno getting significantly better. Too short and compact.

I'm extremely proud of Kemoy...yet at the same time absolutely dumbfounded at the lack of long distance talent in the Caribbean. :?

Kemoy wrapped up his record breaking interview, and half the runners were just going into their final lap. Some people he lapped TWICE! Seriously, we need to do a student exchange program and send Kemoy and Goule to Kenya train under some Kenyan coaches.

Here's the report on Skeen's run....

            http://jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/2010 ... orts1.html

"The perennial powerhouses also got record performances from Odean Skeen, Kemoy Campbell and Frederick Dacres. The impressive Under-17 Jamaican sprinter Skeen also completed the sprint double, putting the exclamation mark on a fine championships by posting a new record in the 200 metres. He produced a dominant display of sprinting to dismiss his challengers with ease, clocking 20.84 seconds to eclipse fellow countryman Jazeel Murphy's 20.97 at last year's Games in St Lucia. Bermudian Jeneko Place was second in 21.27 with Jamaican Odail Todd third in 21.55 seconds. Campbell won the Under-20 boys' 5,000 metres in a new championship record 14 minutes, 34.34 seconds, decimating his old mark of 14:40.67. He had earlier won the Under-20 1500m. Dacres led a Jamaican one-two in the Under-17 boys' discus, throwing 52.99 metres, to erase the old mark, 52.79. Chadwick Dacosta was second with a 50.82m throw."
My heart is still in the Caribbean....

I was really impressed with Goule's 400m relay leg from what I gathered her split was about 52 and change, she as impressive as she is in the 800 and the 1500 she may also have a good shot at being a quarter miler.
