    3:00.22 Baylor 06/14/08

And this is the current top 4, and yet it's early April (keep in mind, that USC mark was accomplished without Reggie Wyatt, who ran 46.13 as a high school SR last season)....
Meet had some bad personnel listings. Trojans ran this:

    Nellum, Hughes, Anderson, Wyatt

With a different schedule for the NCAA meet this year, (only 2 rounds for all track events with the exception of the 5K and 10K, which are finals only), the athletes should have more left in the tank for the 4x4 final.

Both the 400 and 400 hurdles semis are on Wednesday, with the finals on Friday.
The 4x4 semis are on Thursday, with the finals on Saturday.

You're right! The athletes should have more in the tank on the final day this season at the NCAA meet.

Five marks by four teams, but none of them made this list (at least in 2004 - LSU did the next year):

When I watched the 2004 NCAA Men's 1600 meter relay finals online, one team had a chance to be on the above list, but dropped the baton.

USC has a set of splits for the 4x4, but unfortunately t hey add up a second high:

            Nellum 46.3
            Hughes 45.5
            Anderson 46.2
            Wyatt 46.3

Perhaps Wyatt 45.3 makes more sense?
